Shohei Koga

Composer, arranger and guitarist. Alongside his two music projects, YOURNESS and souzoucity, Shohei Koga creates songs for artists and music for anime and games.

At the heart of his work is the character within a voice and its words. Which melody carries the feeling? Which sound brings a scene to mind? Listening to small tensions and lingering notes, he searches for the shape of each song.

He also considers how the music will meet its audience. Directing music videos and visuals is a continuation of that same imagination. In conversation with creators from different disciplines, he helps a work’s world grow.

souzoucity is the creative name that connects Shohei Koga’s practice: a place centred on music, where people and ideas meet and new work begins.

04 / WORKFLOW

How we work

From your first message to delivery, one step at a time. You are welcome to get in touch before the scope or process is fully defined.

  1. Inquiry

    Use the form to share your project, the support you need, your budget and preferred deadline. Links to reference tracks or videos are welcome.

  2. Conversation

    We discuss your audience and creative vision, then align on a direction. For companies and agencies, we also clarify the point of contact and how feedback will be shared.

  3. Estimate

    You receive an outline of the scope, cost, schedule and deliverables. Revision scope and usage are discussed before production begins, so we can move forward with a shared understanding.

  4. Production

    Production follows the agreed scope. Demos or drafts are shared as appropriate, helping us refine the sound or visuals with a shared picture of the finished work.

  5. Review & refinement

    You review the work, and we make adjustments within the agreed scope. Additional requests or changes in direction are discussed together with any impact on cost and timing.

  6. Delivery

    After final approval, files are delivered in the agreed format. We also confirm release timing, credits and any required materials to prepare the work for its audience.

Planning your deadline

Turnaround depends on the scope and current availability. An estimated schedule is provided after our initial conversation. Please share your preferred deadline, release date and internal review timing. You can also ask about urgent projects.

Working remotely

Online meetings and remote file exchange can be discussed for your project. For live guitar support or on-site recording, please share the venue, dates and rehearsal requirements.

Support for a single part

Guitar recording, live guitar support, or MV planning and direction can each be requested on their own. You do not need to commission a full song to work together.
